Monty’s House was created from a simple belief, that time spent together in beautiful, peaceful places is one of life’s greatest gifts.

 Monty's House is nestled on the valley of the Sunshine Coast Hinterland, on the edge of Kondalilla Falls National Park. 

This is a home designed for gathering. Families reunite around long tables, friends celebrate milestones beneath open skies, retreat groups find stillness in the valley air, and everyday life gently falls away. Every corner of the property has been shaped with care from sweeping hinterland views and open lawns to the spa, sauna, magnesium pool, and outdoor fire pit all created to help you slow down and truly be present.

Our Location

Tucked just minutes from the heart of Montville, Monty’s House sits within one of the most beautiful pockets of South-East Queensland. Wander the rainforest tracks to Kondalilla Falls, explore the artisan villages of Montville and Mapleton, or spend the day discovering local cafés, galleries, and markets. The beaches of the Sunshine Coast are only a short drive away, while the surrounding hinterland offers endless walking trails, waterfalls, and lookouts.

The property runs primarily on rainwater tanks, encouraging mindful use of one of our most precious resources. We choose eco-friendly, naturally derived cleaning and bathroom products throughout the home, so what goes down the drain is gentle on both you and the environment. Our linen is thoughtfully sourced with sustainability in mind, high-quality, durable fabrics that feel beautiful while reducing environmental impact. Wherever possible we support local suppliers, minimise single-use plastics, and design the house to work with the climate through natural ventilation, shaded outdoor spaces, and energy-conscious practices. We hope that staying here feels not only restorative for you, but respectful to the land that holds us.
